What is the Rapid Antibody Test?

The test strip contains a colloidal gold-labeled recombinant novel coronavirus antigen and quality control antibody colloidal gold marker, two detection lines (G and M lines) and one quality control line (C) fixed on a nitrocellulose membrane. M is fixed with monoclonal anti-human IgM antibody for detecting the novel coronavirus IgM antibody. G is fixed with monoclonal antihuman IgG antibody for detecting the novel coronavirus IgG antibody. The quality control antibody is fixed on the C line.

Why is Rapid Antibody Test important?

According to some of the latest studies, it is the apparently healthy people who are increasingly becoming the carriers and spreaders of Coronavirus. Such people don’t show any clear symptoms. Hence, they may never know they are carrying the virus, and which can prove even more dangerous.

Undergoing a rapid antibody test, in this view, proves essential. It traces the present as well as the past presence of the virus in the body. When a seemingly healthy individual takes up the test, comes to know whether he is playing the role of a carrier by carrying the virus in his body, or had it in the past.
